After attending Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Ortiz has spent the past three years whipping up desserts at Uchi. Motivated by a lifelong passion for cooking and baking, Ortiz notes, “I'm inspired by the cooks and chefs that I work with, seeing their passion drives my passion as well as creativity.” She is also careful not to overlook salt, her favorite ingredient, as an important component in maintaining balance in desserts.
