2014 Wine Ride–The Oregon Trail gives guests the opportunity to learn about the terroir and wines of Oregon, including those of Chapter 24 Vineyards. On Monday, October 20th, the Wine Ride will take place in Austin at the W Austin, starting at 6:30 pm, with an Oregon Wine Tasting of Chapter 24 Vineyards, presented by Advanced Sommelier June Rodil, the Beverage Director of McGuire Moorman Hospitality Group. This will be followed by a multi-course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Thomas Riordan of W Austin, paired with Oregon Wines from Raptor Ridge. Ms. Rodil was the 2009 winner of Texas’ Best Sommelier, the 2012 winner of the Somms Under Fire™ Competition, and was most recently named one of Food & Wine magazine’s 2014 Sommeliers of the Year.
