David Allen @DavidAllenMW: We look at trends of ppl seaching on @WineSearcher our users are largely quality wine consumers For ex, we recently noticed a trend of a small decline in ppl searching for #prosecco #SommChat

David Allen @DavidAllenMW: In honesty the slowing in searches of #prosecco is very small so not sure if blip or real in some other mkts like #Cava down in #Spain & sparkling down in #NZ and #Australia - not seen any real upticks recently #SommChat

David Allen @DavidAllenMW: Very big Q - still experimenting on what we can find out from data @WineSearcher bc we can see what they are looking 4, we can see as trends R developing. Coverage is largely independent ret. mkts so don’t see supermkt data 4 ex. #SommChat

David Allen @DavidAllenMW: @winejames so our data is more reliable 4 Cru Classe and new world PN than for sales of pinot Grigio and prosecco which are fast moving consumer goods #SommChat

David Allen @DavidAllenMW: @WineSearcher we do not know 4 sure that every1 has every #wine 4 sale but we MYSTERY SHOP & test to keep integrity as much as possible w/ the vast # of retailers on the site... #SommChat
